How you can support the Five Charities

Two ways you can Help:

You could give small regular donations each payday to ACWT through the Payroll Giving scheme or via bank standing order with Gift Aid

Both methods are tax-effective so the charity gets more.

Anyone can donate when his or her pay or pension is taxed through PAYE. Your employer needs to be registered with the scheme. It is a low cost way to give to charity straight from your gross salary before tax. Donations cost less and enable you to give more because of the tax benefit. Look - it costs less to give more!

Your monthly donation Cost to 22% tax payer Cost to 40% tax payer
£10 £7.80 £6.00
£20 £14.60 £12.00
£50 £39.00 £30.00

You can give any amount just complete and sign the pale blue Payroll Giving form and then pass it on to your Payroll Department.

Alternatively, if you are self-employed, or your employer does not have a scheme please offer your support regularly with a standing order from your bank. It is easy to set up, print out and then complete and sign the darker blue Gift Aid form. For every £1 you give, ACWT gets an extra 28 pence (/25 pence from 2008/9 when the basic rate of tax changes) from Inland Revenue when they claim back the tax you have already paid. Please ensure you sign the Gift Aid form at the bottom. So £10 becomes £12.80, and it doesn't cost you a thing!
